I consider myself a big Will Smith fan and I'm not disturbed by people who criticise him for being a "safe" actor. But I really found it hard to enjoy this film and I'm not exactly sure why. Everything seemed expected, the only surprise to me was at the end where apparently that old guy was an ally.

The film has flaws (the central romance being the most glaring), but this is one of Will Smith's better films in a while.

I like Will Smith as a person, but his projects I often dislike. Six Degrees of Separation, The Pursuit of Happyness, MiB and Focus are the only films of his I can recall actually enjoying.

Smith is in a downward spiral. He needs a good movie to resurrect his career.
