Saw it tonight, wow this movie is so much underrated

I give it easily an 8/10. Great movie ! So refreshing and original, with so many sequels, prequels, comic book movies and stupid comedies, this movie comes in and it is so refreshing ! I love the strange story, the characters, the acting and the chemistry between Will and Margot. The movie is really funny at moments, with a great atmosphere, and the movie is really clever. This is a great return for Will Smith, and it's a very underrated movie. It deserves at least a 7.8 here on imdb. Go watch it, you will not regret it.

I agree, it's underrated! While on some levels it's just another slick heist film with gorgeous people, I loved the characters, the clever plot, the way it was shot, and the chemistry between Will Smith and Margot Robbie (who's so sweet and naive). It was a simple, entertaining film, easily a 7.5 out of 10.

It had its moments but the twists are just too jerky and contrived.

For instance, what was pops doing snooping around in his son's hotel room... he did not know Margot was there so he would've spoken father->son rather than as a menacing henchman.

But an hour and a half of Margot Robbie has not gotten old yet.

I think that part of the fun is that they were talking father to son. It made me smile thinking back on that conversation.

As Nicky says, he was Nicky's father in the loosest sense of the term.

His dad was probably checking for any girl, making sure his son was staying on point with the job, and not getting "distracted."

And let's hope an hour and a half of Margot never gets old!

If you thought this was trash (which it isn't) you obviously haven't seen a hell of a lot of movies,good or bad I can tell you that. This was a pretty good heist film, plain and simple. It was clever,thoughtful,funny, and a good date movie. And, no that dosen't make me or anyone else an "idiot" for liking it. You just didn't like it, so leave it alone at that.

I think it is rated just right. I did enjoy it but completely disagree with the lifestyle. plus it is a super shallow movie so an 8 would not be right here.
