Didnt feel the chemistry

I actually like the story if a bit far fetched some nice twists but i honestly didnt feel the chemistry between smith an robbie

i like their acting and the character but just not together didnt feel right

Part of the problem is the apparent age difference between them. Will Smith looks younger than he is but she looks not a day older than her 25 years. It was a bit like Jackie Chan and that young girl in "Gorgeous". It just didn't work for me either.

The age difference wasn't even that obvious, since Smith still looks far younger than his actual years. And I thought he and Robbie had great chemistry---that's what really made the film for me----if they didn't have that, the film would not have worked at all.

Yeah...I think the storyline covering their romance and attraction got a bit rushed/undercut due to the other plot elements that had to be worked in. I am betting there is a lot of great stuff from Smith and Robbie on the editing room floor. Unfortunate. They are both good.

The age disparity didn't make a bit of difference. 

I agree that the movie is confused. I posted in another thread that this is a romance film with a con. The problem is there is too much of the other style film to let one or the other to take over.

Too much con for a good romance. Too much romance for the con.

Both films require more development, either character development for us to care about them and their romance or the elements of con and layers of con that don't allow real character development beyond being focused on the con and winning.

What's hard to believe is that the movie producers didn't look at previous con movies have no real romance and romance movies the characters give up the con for love. It's been done before and like everyone is saying by much much better films.

I thought their chemisrty was ok. Not bad

I read in the trivia that Ryan Gosling & Emma Stone were suppose to star. I think they have Crazy chemistry together and funny thing she reminded me of Emma Stone throughout the movie

Kinda like Zombieland where originally they wanted Michael Cera but got that other guy instead to act like Michael Cera

I thought that they had incredible chemistry.

A closed mouth gathers no foot.

I agree completely; the romantic chemistry just wasn't there for me either.

I thought they had a great rapport and banter; they played off each other really well, and have great chemistry in that sense but there was no heat. Like at all.

Funnily enough most of the movie would have worked just fine, possibly even better, without the love story. Would make a good unconventional buddy movie.
