I... I Actually Liked the Fillm...

Don't know what all the fuss was about. The chemistry between Will Smith and Margot Robbie was more than convincing. Sure the storyline was unrealistic and grandiose at times, but that's what made it exciting and bigger-than-life. Which was the whole point of the cons: stealing your way into the grand flamboyance of the high class.

By no means was it a perfect movie. A little bit too many plot-twists towards the end and Margot's character's motivation to love "Nicky" was a bit confusing at moments. But even I understood after my first viewing that she was addicted to and loved the personality and lifestyle that Nicky offered.

In the end I shared some laughs with my mates, got stressed out during the high tension scenes, and ultimately I had a good time. Great chemistry, cinematography, and memorable scenes. Don't understand the hate for it.

and if it wasn't already obvious that it was going to feature in the 'twist', they even had to bash it over our head by giving it a name. Toledo Panic Button, my ass. The other cringey part was the millionaire detailing to Will Smith how Margot Robbie was always giving him the slip when he hit on her. . Nonetheless, I gave it a 5.

I agree with the OP----this film was a fun clever little lark to watch---I know when I first saw the trailer for it that it was going to be a must-see flick, and that turned out to be right.

Each to their own but the trailer definitely gave me high expectations that the final film failed to meet. I mostly liked it, but it is forgettable. It looked like it had the makings of a classic and ultimately wasn't.

Regarding op and chemistry, I think Robbie and Smith work great together and have a phenomenal rapport and on-screen presence together but have little to no sexual chemistry. The romance just didn't work imo. Like at all.

I don't know how it is possible that you could have two such extremely attractive people who can't work up some kind of heat together but there ya go.

Me, too, OP. Just saw it. Fun movie, great soundtrack.

There were some nice scenes
the tension was build up nicely
Just like some fun and humorous scenes

Margot and Will are no doubt the best parts f this movie.
And I think in a few years that will be the only thing I will remember about it
Them not the story
