What's with the hate? This was a great movie.
Can anyone explain the hate/low rating?
The movie deserves at least a 7 - 7.5 minimum.
It was entertaining, gave a fun take on con artists, and the romance was a lot of fun.

I agree with you wholeheartedly!
shareWe enjoyed this. Not Oscar caliber, but a fun fluff kind of movie. I love Gerald McRaney so that was a nice treat.
shareI gave it a 4.
I found the whole con-artist angle to be interesting, but they dragged out the weird relationship between will smith and margot robbie too long. I also didn't find it to be very believable; the idea of a massive pickpocketing operation with 20+ people involved, the cons were too perfectly executed almost to the point of making the characters superhuman (e.g. the football "55" scene). I didn't like the racecar algorithm plot, it was too cliche. I don't think one guy could sell the same stolen software to 10 (or however many) different teams.
Also there were so many twists in the movie that I couldn't believe any aspect of it; what's real and what's not?
