Have you ever noticed that all Pixar movies that have to do with humans (The Incredibles, Up, Brave and Inside Out) are rated PG? "Inside Out" may is around emotions, but it have to do with humans. "The Good Dinosaur" is also a PG rated film, although. I'm sure this will also rated PG.

shareI think the MPAA is stricter with their ratings on family films now. almost every animated film receives a PG now. and films like The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Aladin and Beauty and the Beast, all had emotional scenes, violence, and death and were all rated G.
shareA lot of rated G movies back in the 80s and 90s would have been PG today. No doubt about it. No way All Dogs Go To Heaven would have been G today!
shareI have a friend who insists that Sleeping Beauty is worse for kids than Up. I'm not sure I stand by that point, but there's no way in holy hell that would be G today.
