Spectre DNA query
Watched this today, one thing I didn't understand - how did Q use DNA from the ring to link the plots (villains) from Casino Royale, QoS, Skyfall and Spectre

shareIn the opening scene in Mexico, Bond is on the rooftop and he observes that guy show the ring off before talking to him, where Bond listens in on the conversation. So he figures out the ring is a powerful way of identifying yourself. Bond then takes the ring during the fight in the helicopter. Q then does a DNA check on the ring to see if it matches anyone in the MI6 database. It confirms the previous films villains all wore the ring
shareThat scene makes no sense because we know that Blofeld wore it back in 1963 when he was having Kronsteen catfish Bond and Largo wore it as well yet they don’t immediately recognize Blofeld and Largo is never mentioned. It’s a plot hole.
shareThat was a different Bond movie universe. Trust me on this
shareI don’t believe you, I need official confirmation from Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson on this one. I’ll settle for nothing less than that.
shareWe got official confirmation in Casino Royale. Bond gets his 007 status in the beginning. He wasn't an agent in 1963. I can't believe you don't know this. The previous Bond films is not connected to the Daniel Craig movies. And don't forget, I know more than everyone else when it comes to James Bond
shareFrom Russia with Love takes place in 1963 and I’m pretty sure he was a 007 agent. Are you saying he didn’t become 007 until Casino Royale in 2006? Because I remember him being referred to as 007 many times before that.
shareDifferent movie universe from the Sean Connery era films. You keep arguing with an expert on James Bond
shareI’m not referring to the actor, I’m referring to the character. Both Daniel Craig and Sean Connery were playing James Bond. James Bond is not a codename.
shareAlso are you seriously trying to suggest that James Bond exists in a multiverse?
shareNot at all. The Daniel Craig movies are an introduction to the character just like Batman Begins the year before introduced a brand new Batman. Why are you still arguing with someone who knows more than you do about James Bond?
shareThat sounds a lot like a multiverse.
shareNo. Just ignore the other movies. I'll make it simple for you. You saw the latest King Kong movie I assume. Its a whole new character. The original movie from 1933 never took place. Same with Godzilla. Ignore all the previous entries in the franchise. Stop trying to make yourself as smart as me. I know more than you do
