I loved this book
So good. I'm reading it again.
shareI love it too. I've turned so many people onto this book. I'll most likely read it again before the movie is released as a refresher.
shareI'm reading it again now, and also telling others to read it. Such a crazy story.
shareI've talked to my wife about this for about two years now, and loves it as much as I did. My daughter is a huge JL fan, so this is all coming together nicely. I've been a big fan of Jeanette's since she did the gossip column for MSNBC, years ago.
shareWe read it in our book club several years ago. I've been looking forward to seeing it come to the big screen (or TV, I don't care which!) I can't imagine living through what Jeanette did growing up.
shareI just heard of it because it was in article about books being banned. It is added to the long list of books I plan on reading when I have time 2 jobs and classes(looking for a third so I can take more classes) and an energetic dog limit my reading time.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

Eh, I didn't care for it very much, though I did finish it. My cousin had to read it for a college class and that's how I heard of it. I enjoyed another book by her, though.
-Dad, who's that?
-Oh, that? One of my patients. He's...sick.
-Will he live?
-It's looking grim.
I've not only read it several times, but also had a book club meeting for The Glass Castle. Have read Half Broke Horses as well, about Jeannette's grandma, Lily Casey, another excellent book, and about to start The Silver Star.
shareThe movie hopefully will hity big and the book get more readers. I've read nearly (!) every book that inspired every recent book and plan to read this too. I read in a description in our theatre's schedule for upcomers that there is a gifted kid (think Gifted).
shareI remember when she was interviewed by Oprah, I think it was, or for some show. At that time her mother was still living as a 'nomad' in an apartment in New York City with no electricity. I wonder what happened to her.
shareHas anyone who read the book seen the movie yet? It's at a 48% on Rotten Tomatoes. I'm halfway through the book, not sure if it'll be worth seeing the movie when I'm finished.
shareThis is a worthy read. The movie was pretty good as well. Can't compare to the book but movies never can. All the performances were great. The child actress who played the main character was spectacular.
