He is a friend and we have talked about his "Work". I can tell you that this man is 100% genuine he is a very strong and principled Christian. He would do anything to help anyone in need and is kind hearted, but don't take his kindness for weakness. His years as a NY Cop have made him very tough, strong, and cynical at times. I truly hope this movie gives him the recognition he deserves for all the hell that he and his family have been put through.

I read one of his books and though some of it seemed far-fetched he does seem like a man of principle. Thanks for the insight.

I'd assume most NYPD Sergeants are pretty tough and strong, physically and mentally. Good to hear he found his faith again, seems like one of the good guys in this world from the movie.

Did he actually beat a child molester & killer to death or was that a Hollywood device to punch up the drama?

Well not sure on the whole truth to that, he has never shared that with me. I am sure the "hollywood" version is much more dramatic in it's telling of that particular situation.

I've never seen the movie, but I've read the book a few times.
Judging from the book and a few interviews, Ralph seems like a genuine Christian, takes his faith and both his cop and exorcist job seriously. Plus he doesn't take sh_1t from anybody in both jobs.
But he likes to have fun, likes to joke around and have a good time, seems to have a sense of humor, and seems like a good person to have around.
