Bad acting

The movie had all sorts of issues but anyone else feel that Bana's acting didn't help? He had no range at all. In scenes where he was supposed to show some emotion he just comes across like someone you would use to show drama students what not to do when you get your big break. Scene close to the end, he is driving and a body falls on his car. He gets out and checks out what is going on, perfectly calm, no emotion no nothing. He looks at where the body might have come from and finally starts to try and breathe hard while he calls for back up? Then two seconds later his phone rings and he picks up the phone and once again, he is perfectly calm. I don't know maybe it's just me but he just did not work for me on this film. Any thoughts?

i agree
but you know what
sometimes its not the actor's fault
its poor direction...

I totally agree! I also think that Joel McHale & Olivia Munn?while I love them both?were horrible casting decisions for this film. McHale's acting was terrible and casting him as a cop who would get into a knife fight w/ a perp literally made me laugh out loud. I also cannot believe they put Munn in as Detective Sarchie's wife. Totally unbelievable. Oh and the horribly overdone Bronx accents they used were bad?real bad.

I agree w/ both the topic-starter and JohnnyBravoPhone who left a reply here. The acting was bad but the director deserves a lot of blame. I'm not saying the movie is a total loss. I was able to have fun watching, but it just could have been a lot better! My two-cents anyway.

Yes I totally agree...never seen Bana this bad in any movie...he must have been doing this only for an easy paycheck and laughed all the way to the bank.
