One of the best horror movies I've seen in a while. Sure the Exorcism at the end is a little hokey but the movie is well directed and creepy as hell. Great atmosphere and quite a few scare moments. Never boring or silly with dome good acting.
Ignore the idiotic Internet nerds and take a chance on a damn good thriller.
Yea.. I agree totally. It's like everybody likes their own thing when it comes to horror films. It seems like a strange genre nowadays for people to unanimously like a horror flick. I posted above something similar ,and I think this film had all you could ask for. Sure the demonic aspect of it would call for an Excorcist but it was done well I think. The story was actually well written and not found footage and the scares and creepy score were spot on. I think those attributes along with GOOD acting makes it a cut above the rest. As for the director he seems to know what he's doing with. "Sinister" and some others under his belt . Would like to see what he does next, but no doubt this was very good as for horror films go. 8 from me..

hahaha you cant have high standards in horror movies or in movies overall...this one was riddled with lame cliches and bad acting and even worse "jump scares" who didnt even work...this was just painfully bad in every way...and I cant believe that this director made the brilliant sinister and exorcism of emily rose.

Spot on! He must have been phoning it in for this. Even Joel Mchale couldn't save the clichéd steaming pile of *beep*
