I hear a lot of people complaining that horror films are so bad these days (and they are pretty much correct) but if you do like them than "deliver us" shouldn't be on that list. This film was really creepy and scary and I feel people do not know what they want in horror anymore because with films like this and "sinister" I don't see what more you can want.
Maybe the problem is found footage films that are so saturated in theaters these days are bringing the bar down lower and lower. Horror is for the most part really bad in the US for a whole but this is one of those Gems that I think is the perfect chemistry of scary, creepy, and has good acting that is not found footage crap.
If you really want great (but gory) horror check out the Asian market (especially Korean and Japanese ) but as for "deliver Us" , This film was solid horror all the way through IMO .

I usually don't watch horror movies. This one, it is because Eric Bana is in it, but I had to watch the scenes at random and then behind the scenes, to tone it down first before watching the whole thing from the beginning.
