Jimmy, McHale just disappears...? Could have been much better
It was a different approach to a possession movie and I liked it a lot. However the editing could have been much better, some scenes seemed to drag on forever and then some things got skipped almost entirely. It left the movie a bit confusing in the end. The plot was also quite thin, the script would have needed some more work on it.
For example Jimmy's character was stabbed and the next thing we know is the main character confessing his sins to the priest. Nothing about Jimmy, he's never mentioned again during the whole movie. It bothered me for the rest of the movie.
I saw a post here saying there's another version of the movie where Jimmy makes it and is at the christening in the end of the movie. I'd like to see this version, maybe it's not as puzzling as the one I actually saw. The exorcism scene dragged on forever as did the scene in the car where the priest tells about his past.
It's a shame, could have been a really good movie.
