Is this the good pirate show or is crossbones?

Depends on what you like. I got bored with crossbones and when it got axed I didnt bother with the last two episodes.

It's this show! Crossbones was pretty bad and was canceled after one season.

You know, I actually enjoyed Crossbones.
While it is not the show Black Sails is, it is just different in story and feel.
The main players in Crossbones are fairly decent but the performances of the bit players can be all over the place. For one season I enjoyed it.
What the heck, it is a pirate story and there is not a lot of them out there.
Black Sails is pretty damn good all over.
First 5 episodes of season 1 are good builders so you know who is who and what you can sort of expect. The last three episodes ramp up in intensity quite a bit.
Season two comes out like someone fed the script steroids and does not let up.
I am currently in the middle of re-watching the series.
I am so happy I have because it is so good.
