I thought Billy was smarter than that

Seriously, what the hell? Whether he agreed with Flint or not that was a pretty bad time to pick a fight and hurt or kill a large number of your forces, not to mention split up what's left of the resistance.

Dumb move indeed. He needs to get over himself if he wants to win this war. He went there to get more men but ended up dividing the resistance.

Which would be worse - to live as a monster, or to die as a good man? 

It seems Billy had a small taste of power and leadership go to his head.

I agree it was a really dumb move but I think he was at the end of his rope with following a captain who wouldnt tell him men what was going on, and then many of them dying for that man.

That word - fire! - really shocked me when I heard it. Good stuff! Looking forward to the rest of the season.

I thought it was great. A line in the sand moment from a man who was sick of following Captain Flint and his failures.

I see similarities between Flint and Jax Teller from Sons of Anarchy. Both thought they were smarter than everyone else but constantly failed to deliver on their plans.
