S4 just started and at the third episode Berringer and Blackbeard died, it's a brave decision. I just hope that now we won't have fillers till the finale
shareIt's a bold choice, especially the separation between the "based on real pirates" and the Treasure Island pirates. Who was in a position of power are not in a position of weakness, and the weakened have power.
Woodes Rogers has Rackham and Anne, but he's lost Nasseau and Eleanor never made it to Philadelphia so he's in a worse position with his creditors. I got a feeling he'll be sent to debtor's prison trying to get English help, but Eleanor escapes and gets some assistance from Grandpappy.
The Treasure Island pirates have taken Nasseau much earlier than anyone thought. They have exactly what they want and essentially no opposition with Rogers out at sea. It depends on what you consider filler, but I see the next several episodes will deal with the mistrust between Flint, Silver and Billy Bones and who really controls Nasseau now. Technically this is a prequel, but this is the last season so they could go all out. Not like they are introducing Jim Hawkins and who'd want a kid on this show.
