How accurate are the representations of trans, lesbian, bi characters?

As there are a great deal of trans, lesbian, and bisexual characters in OITNB... I was wondering what your views are on the accuracy of the representations and if you can relate to the characters on a personal level?

As a transgirl, I definitely can relate to Sophia. She's a multi-faceted and complex character who deals with a lot of sh!t that trans folks have to face in the world. I'd say that Nicky and Alex are pretty accurate as well. Boo is pretty stereotypical but isn't a caricature.
