There is NOTHING adorable about Lorna

Yes, this is just a TV show. I get it. But can we please stop making Lorna out to be some innocent and adorable person? She's attempted to kill a guy for making the horrible mistake of not being interested in her, stalked him, and then lied about him; sending her thug boyfriend/husband out to beat him within an inch of his life.

That's the worse kind of sick. How Lorna is endearing to people is just as sick.

There are no stupid comments, just stupid people...

You're not alone. I felt bad for her with her mental illness and all in the beginning, but I sill didn't like her. But as soon as she sent Vinny to beat up Christopher, I lost all compassion for her. A mental illness does not excuse her actions toward Christopher.

Also, it seems like a lot of viewers forget her whole racist speech against Mexicans in Season 1. I thought that scene was pretty messed up and not cute at all.

reply

However I doubt Lorna's happiness will last, as Christopher will no doubt press charges against Vinny and the whole stalking incident will be revealed (assuming the police will investigate and figure out the motive behind the assault) Vinny will turn his back on Lorna when he end's up in prison/jail

Lorna will probably end up getting more time added to her sentence for instigating the assault against Christopher.

reply

I doubt Lorna and Vinny will be happy, but I'm not sure if Christpher knows or could identify his attackers. I wouldn't be surprised if Vinny was so crazy it became off putting to Lorna.

Oh come on, am I the only one who didn't think that was hilarious? If only for the unfairness and injustice of the situation. I mean after everything she's already put him through, she compounds it by sending a bunch of wiseguys to his house to beat the crap out of him. Obviously this wouldn't be funny if it happened in real life, but this is drama.

You just killed my girlfriend.....thats actually....kinda pissing me off....huh....

reply

Well he stopped being a real victim when he actually came to her prison to give hear a death threat.

reply

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that visit AFTER Lorna broke into his house, put on his wife's wedding dress and took a bath in his home????????? Too bad he's not as crazy or connected as she is so he could have her beaten where she lives. He's a victim.

I wonder if you would find it funny if an adorable male inmate would do it to a female he had persecuted.

It remembered a tv show were middle aged women were giggling about an innocent man whose penis had been severed.

At this time, i wonderered if they would find hillarous clitoris or breast to be chopped off... even from a very bad woman...

I think there is a big, big problem with our perception of the suffering of peoples.

But you'r right. It's a show. Is it ?

reply

I'm glad you pointed this out. The frequent portrayal of men as expendable punching bags has been ignored despite the heightened focus on gender issues in the last several decades.

reply

A mental illness does not excuse her actions toward Christopher. Actually it should. Lorna needs help, not prison and until she gets the help she needs people will be in danger.

reply

Why hasn't Christopher moved to a different state?

reply

People have roots and jobs and often not the money to just arbitrarily move with no solid prospects. Plus with Lorna in jail he probsbly never thought she'd still send someone to attack her.

reply

She is most certainly adorable and so freaking hot looking.

reply

She's gorgeous and sweet. I like her, I wish she stalked me! lol

reply

Exactly..

reply

She is like Jessa on Girls. As a fictional character, incredibly attractive and sexy. But you meet that type of personality in real life, you run in the opposite direction as fast as you can.

reply

Agreed, but only after 1 or 2 nights of wild fun in the sheets...:)

reply

Who said she was adorable?

reply

Don't get me wrong: Lorna is crazy and dangerous as hell. She even admits that she is exactly where she needs to be (prison).
BUT!
She absolutely redeemed herself in season 2 when she says "*beep* it!" during the lock down and let Rosa escape with the van, which ultimately leads to Vee getting her comeuppance. This is one of my favorite parts of the entire series so far...

Mine too. I rewound it and watched it three times. 

That's probably my favourite scene in the whole show, especially when Rosa drives away and morphs into her younger self

"What you don't like rice? Tell me Michael, how can a billion Chinese people be wrong?"

reply

I genuinely find her really likeable. She does crazy things but she's so innocent about it all and that makes her endearing to me. Maybe her cute (as in cute not hot) appearance evokes that opinion but I also like Lolly and Suzanne so perhaps I just like the kooky ones.

reply

There's something wrong with her, and even she knows it.

She stated to Rosa once in the van that she's crazy and needs to be locked up. She expressed to Nicky that there's something wrong with her, and that she ruins everything. She loves her new husband (in the best way she knows how), but will indeed destroy the relationship as a result of her mental illness.

She is a threat to herself and others, which is why she reconciles with being incarcerated,
