shareNah, that was different. She had millions of dollars of legal defense behind her, and a more sympathetic story (to the jury in her area). No jury is going to have sympathy for a drug dealer popping a cap on an innocent bystander.

She killed the boy by mistake, thinking he was a deer. I'm not sure what her actual charge was, but I'm guessing it was negligent homicide or manslaughter, since she never intended to harm a person.
While it was a violent crime involving drugs, it wasn't on the level of a street dealer attempting to murder competition and killing a bystander by mistake.
