It didn't really look like Poussey was suffocating?
The acting could have been better in that scene. It just reminded me of a big brother intentionally sitting on his younger sister with the whole "get off me man!".
We should have seen her maybe choking up more, her eyeballs rolling backward, something like that.
It just felt really forced.
And it didn't really seem like a long enough time for it to actually kill her. It was just a terrible scene in general.
shareAgree. Bayley's hand was certainly not firmly gripping her throat, for one thing, and she was holding her head up most of the time.
shareI also thought it was weird that the inmates immediately knew she was dead. She could have easily been passed out but they didn't even bother checking her pulse. I thought it was a bad scene.
shareI know, right? Even if none of the hundred or so people in the room knew CPR (which is unlikely), you'd think someone would at least shake her or turn her over, something.
sharethis was my main thought! The suffocation did look a little bit fake also, but I didn't mind that as I didnt really want to watch that sweet little girl suffer :(
