I'm rewatching season 2, she's in prison for robbing a bank, the flashback seems to be in the 70's or 80's, because of the clothes and the fact that she was really young. So how much time did she get just for a bank robbery? More than 20 years?
shareI'm not sure but the writers really messed up her backstory. Young Miss Rosa speaks with a Spanish accent, while prisoner Miss Rosa has a German/Russian accent.

And yes, it was the late 70's VERY early 80's. since it was so long ago, the sentences were stiffer. And she and her possee robbed several banks not just ones she may have been sentenced for each one. The only thing I could think is that someone was hurt during one of the robberies. But that was never stated so who knows...
Her husband was killed during one of the robberies. It doesn't matter that she didn't pull the trigger; when someone is killed during the commission of a felony all of the perpetrators are equally liable.
