In case you haven't already heard of it, there is a similar women's prison show called Wentworth. In my opinion, it is even better than ONB. It is an Australian show, but available on Netflix. So good!

shareI love Wentworth also, but I don't think they're similar. Wentworth is a lot more true about what prison is like, shows more "scary" events and isn't comedic like Orange is the New Black. Just think people should know in case they're expected a funny drama prison show, I find it more dark and deep in terms of its content.

shareit's probably too grown up for most OITNB fans. and I don't mean that in a salty way, Wentworth has been very disturbing at times,especially the 4th season and many of the younger fans won't be able to deal, based off the wide reaction to Poussey's death and Maritza's torment by that guard etc...Wentworth is beyond that kind of intense [shower gang-rape with a broom, main character murdered with a giant screwdriver] (in the best way tho!)
