He starred in three seasons of The Path on Hulu, which was a really good show. He also was the lead on the last season of Westworld.

But you're right in that he really hasn't done much in the feature film world outside of a handful of indies. Need for Speed may have had something to do with that, but I also think he may just not have the charisma and screen presence to lead either blockbusters or prestige dramas, and the studios know this.

It did not just kill any slim chance for a movie career for a guy on a TV show. It also drove a wooden steak through his heart, cut off his head and filled his mouth with garlic.

He's not that good as an actor anyway. It's not like his name on a movie poster would attract crowds of people to go and see it. He's just an average actor, who had a major role in possibly the greatest tv show in history.
