How the hell does Aaron Paul get charged for manslaughter anyway?

The whole point of the manslaughter charge was that Pete's car was HIT, on purpose, he didn't just crash it. But, then the movie hides the third car away from the police. They have no idea it exists. Two cars, one of which is a flaming wreck and the other that is still in perfect, clean condition.

So.. manslaughter? No, sorry.

No that's pretty much the definition of manslaughter. It is defined as the killing of someone completely unintentionally, but you decided to "risk" their life in a duel, whether it be racing or a fist fight and you kill the other guy. It's a third-degree murder charge with "nicer undertones."

The part that didn't make sense to me is this: just because he turned in evidence that Dino caused the crash, how does he only get 6 months for the race at the end? There looked to be a lot more deaths caused by that race, including cops. Providing justice for Pete's death should not negate all the death and destruction caused by the illegal activity of the race, not to mention the drive across the country.

Nobody was killed during the end race. Though, some of the racers were probably hurting pretty badly.

They all simply reset their cars and keep on racing. Have you ever played any Need for Speed?

Where were all the other witnesses that would have seen 3 cars and the 3 sets of skid marks that would have been visable!!

2 years i would think he got charged with the gta of the car he was driving.

That's what i just thought. they can;t prove that he caused Pete's accident, only that he was near the car.

I just thought, millionaire (billionaire?) like that, probably bought off all the witnesses, most of the cops, the lawyers, AND the judge. Manslaughter, easy. :-)

He probably killed 30 families when he was speeding down the wrong side of the road like a maniac forcing all of the cars off the road...
