I was expecting a generic action movie (and I guess that's what I got) but whilst I admire the low-key approach (i.e, not drenched in non-stop CGI) the movie itself felt rather flat (Performances, action and especially the dialogue)
It reminded me of (the much superior) FROM PARIS WITH LOVE (minus the set-pieces and enthusiasm)

I agree. The only decent action scene was the chase across the rooftops but even that has been done hundreds of times before.

shareI agree, in a different director maybe this could've been something special, but as it is, well, it lacked the umpfh, the spark, the special bits of inventiveness. We needed more like that stuff in the van but better.
