Ugh. Another formulaic horror movie where a woman is tormented by memories of a dead/aborted/miscarried child! You know, OTHER THINGS frighten women! And I'm not taking about rape, Hollywood! Jeez. I lasted maybe fifteen minutes into this boring abomination. And I usually like Kate but, good god was she awful.
shareExactly my thoughts, and I was coming here to say the same. Tired haunted house tropes of a family moving into an old, beautiful house, and the (naturally, disturbed in some way) wife sees and hears otherwise inexplicable things, which frighten her. Ugh.
I watched the whole thing, but it was terrible. The only thing I liked was the shots of the beautiful old house and grounds, and the banter between the husband and son in the opening shots.
Thank God I didn't stick with it! I agree, the father-son interactions I saw were fantastic. In fact, the first few seconds were some of my favorite of any movie.
