Wow, what a stupid movie.

It was basically a PSA about the dangers of sleeping in bed with your infants and also about killing animals, so if you don't want to see a mangled cat (or a dog getting killed), don't watch.

thnx for the warning; this movie looks like a disaster.

Click someone's username hyperlink, and on their account page, on the right side of the screen under "Quick Links", you click "Send message".

Even with the negative reviews I'll still be seeing it because a friend of mine, Marcia DeRousse is in it!!!! And I ALWAYS support my friend's projects!!!!!!! And besides that, I always go into seeing a movie with an open mind!!!!! Everybody's tastes are different!!!!!! And if the story is plausible, I can overlook certain shortcomings!!!!!!!!!

Calm down with the exclamation points, Elaine.

No doubt, Jake and Mr Littman aren't fond of them either.

The acting wasn't bad, it was just the story. It didn't really have a climax and the big "reveal" just never came. There wasn't a point where everything clicked and made sense. I think the fact that Kate Beckinsale's character accidentally smothered her daughter by falling asleep on top of her was supposed to be the big reveal that was supposed to tie everything together but it really wasn't. The "villain" was just an old ghost guy who I suppose wanted Kate to kill her other child as well which is why he made it seem like he was about to kill him just so Kate would be hitting his bed with a hammer, which nearly killed her son because the ghost guy was never there.

I just expected a lot more to it.

My thought process for the movie:
-See the trailer, think, "Cool, a new horror movie."
-It begins, there's a mysterious room, cool
-Learn the sad truth about the disappointment room, wonder if it's a revenge movie (Kate Beckinsale was put in one when she was a child! She's remembering!)
-We get a million hints about the loss of a child, I imagine it drowned accidentally while she was taking those pills
-Dad and son keep leaving her alone, which I thought was weird
-As the main character keeps seeing things, I start to get annoyed
-Dad leaves child with mother, I think, "He's a satan worshiper and is going to the big city to gather a clan!"
-Plumber digs up grave, "That was HIS child that he made her kill!"
-Climax comes, I'm annoyed because I hate movies where we have to wonder if the main character is sane
-Then... the movie ends. NOTHING HAPPENED. EVERYTHING WAS A METAPHOR OR SOMETHING. I JUST GOT OFF A 9 HOUR SHIFT. I DIDN'T PAY MONEY TO WATCH METAPHORS. I THOUGHT THIS WAS A FLIPPIN' HORROR MOVIE. I WANT MY MONEY BACK.

If everything in the movie was a metaphor the movie might have been good. But no, it was FAR too straightforward yet also way too ambigious.

The whole movie is just "Is she crazy? Or are there ghosts? Oh okay she's crazy AND there are ghosts." The end.

The Titanic sinks, Bruce Willis is a ghost, and Rosebud is a sled

I was very upset about the fluffy :(

Same here! I get so annoyed when animals are killed in horror movies. I just don't see the point. Now it's like literally every time theres a family pet introduced, 99.9% of the time it will get brutally killed.

reply

Yeah we cant have horror movies killing anything other then dumb teenage girls like...ahem.

Totally agree. I mean its not like serial killers start off torturing and killing animals or anything, so thats not real life. And using the gruesome death of an animal as "foreshadowing", I mean how USELESS is foreshadowing, its 2016, people need to get with it!

Only fake killing of humans in movies, NOT fake killing of Animals!

Well make a group, we can call it the, HumansAgainstFakeKillingOfAnimalsInHorrorMovies!

An applause for you good citizen. Best comment ever!

The majority of the time, the animals are killed by the "supernatural" aspect movies. Killing off the family pet is so predictable and obvious. Also, no *beep* that serial killers start by torturing animals, what does that have to do with a movie about ghosts and hauntings? I appreciate your attempt at a comedic reply though. Killing animals on screen is like killing children, it's hard to watch.
