Two of the most wooden male leads acting today

Ben Affleck AND Scott Eastwood?

Yikes.

I really wish people would stop casting Scott Eastwood until he develops stronger acting ability. I get that he's good-looking and Clint Eastwood's son and Hollywood is built on nepotism, but let him percolate in low-budget indie movies for awhile.

Affleck is just Affleck at this stage. He'll never improve as an actor. Thankfully, he has some talent as a writer and a director.

Due to the lack of moderators, trolls can ruin the IMDB message boards. Don't feed them.

Affleck isn't amazing at acting but i wouldn't call him wooden. Have you seen some of the new intake of actors? Worse! Affleck is however, an amazing writer and director!

Argo f— yourself.

reply

He's far better than given credit for. Hell he's my second favorite Batman now.

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.

reply

Oh i'm not saying his terrible or even bad. I like Affleck, his acting is fine but if i was to pick his best skill i would say its writing, directing and then acting.

Argo f— yourself.

reply

I agree and trust me, I know you weren't talking like that. The OP just posts troll stuff like this a lot anyway.

reply

Haha, second fave batman isn't saying much. He was good in The Town, and the Accountant looks promissing, but he shouldn't have cast himself as the lead in this one.

reply

Lehane was initially fearful of Ben Affleck's ability to play the lead role of Joe Coughlin, considering an actor of Affleck's presence would struggle to access the underlying perfidy and pudency that both plagued and spurned Coughlin. To his credit, Affleck was humble enough to screen test, and (apparently) more than allayed any fears.

Fate deals the cards, but we have to play them. I demand a reshuffle.

Good to hear!

reply

I'd definitely call him wooden, sorry...

reply

Should've cast Tom Hardy for the lead.

reply

I'm guessing you didn't read the book, right? Hardy is a good actor, but there's absolutely nothing right about him for the role of Joe Coughlin

reply

Yes! Tom Hardy is awesome. He's a zillion times better of an actor than AFfleck, that's for sure.

reply

No offense to the stupid jerks out there, but this movie does not look very good at all. I'm just saying, with all due respect. If you are offended, lighten up.

Affleck has a pretty damn good track record as a Director. I will check this out based on Argo and The Town.

reply

Well Scott Eastwood was so wooden that they decided to cut that wood right out of the film and toss it in the flames.

Saw the movie on Monday and never saw Eastwood once. Affleck mentions his brother a few times but that's it.
