I was anxious to see initial reactions and the critics response, purely because they usually love his directorial efforts. Despite their words of caution. i'm still going to a premiere screening. Seeing this boards reaction is embarrassingly pathetic. People are now declaring Affleck a terrible director. After one flop? Pft, ok.

I just tend the bar.

All critics is at 34% right now. That's every tom, dik and harry on the web. The top critics have rated it at 17%.

Also the audience score is only 68%.

Having monitored the Reddit community and i can tell you that what i stated is the case. I know not all share that opinion of Affleck. Just those that do annoy me.

Now is at 39% which blows because I want this movie to do great, not excellent but at least great :/ Really wanna go see it but Arclight prices are way too expensive. The critics on that website gave 20% rotten to Monster Trucks so I think they are either too drunk or too high because of the holidays.

These pansy-ass critics can't handle a gangster movie anymore. I'd be surprised if they wouldn't trash The Godfather upon reviewing it again. Yes, the icon that critics lauded for so long as the end-all, be all of cinema is now garbage for MORAL REASONS.

The movie is OK, but it does have issues, not least the fact that it's a bit too polished. And there's one deviation in particular from the source material that is quite baffling.
