At the end when Ben Affleck is sitting in the chair waiting for the Italian mob boss, why is his pistol silenced? There was a whole bunch of loud shooting going on so having a silencer seems unnecessary. Was there a deleted scene where this is more explained?
One of many nit-picks I have about this film.
Well, he explained that he had killed the mob boss' son minutes before and then laid in wait for the mob boss. My guess is that if the hadn't used the silencer on the son, the "bang" would have brought everyone running and he would have been seriously outgunned.
Even though there was shooting going on elsewhere in the area, it seemed to be contained to lower levels of the building. Hearing a bang come from a few feet away on the same level would be a very distinct sound.
