Started good, terribly weak ending

Once she learns that Kilgrave can't control her for no real reason, all the tension and threat just disappears. She can literally just walk up to him and kill him with one hand so she does just that. she could ahve done that at any point it just took her a while to give up on the idea of justice and law and sending him to jail. She just murders him and gets away with it. He even acted like an idiot to make it super easy for her and only tasked her to do something that she could easily fake instead of using his powers to threaten Trish or something that would protect him.

What sounds simple to you may not be simple to Jessica.

If she knew that he was powerless against her earlier, then she'd probably just hunt him down and kill him

Yep, he could easily have told Trish or all those people at the docks to kill themselves if Jessica hurts him. She would not have dared to kill him in case his control lingers after his death.

Then he could have taken his time testing if his control of Jessica was real in any multitude of ways.

Such a shame that Killgrave was reduced to such idiocy towards the end of the season.
