Blu's GPS
It's voice recognition.
How is that possible that Blu is able to use it because he doesn't speak human languages and usually GPS doesn't understand animal talk.
Macaws and cockatoos are parrots--they are capable of human speech. In the original movie, only Blu, Jewel, and Nigel spoke to humans or monkeys.
Of course, cartoons with animals disregard the rules on human speech. In The Lion King, only Rifiki the mandrill and Timon the meerkat are capable of grasping, but all the animals speak.
The only thing he'd need to know how to say is "Linda" anyway. She probably taught him how to use the GPS to find her. I doubt he'd be able to use it to find anything else.
