How did Jobs fire the Mac team leader?
If the bored was putting him in a dead end area, why would they give him the power to fire the original team leader.

shareThey didn't "put him in a dead end area," they pulled him off the Lisa project and put him in charge of the Macintosh project instead. And being in charge of the project, obviously he had the authority to give the team leader the boot.
At the time, Apple thought Lisa was going to be their next big product, the follow up to the Apple II. The Macintosh was going to be a really low level simple device. Jobs beefed it up and basically turned it into a cheaper Lisa.
