Since I'm in my 40s, I totally get your point. However, the movie was about a guy with many dimensions. I got the picture - even just from the movie - that he hurt and screwed over quite a few people in his life. Brilliant or not, he was selfish, and that is why he's no hero to many people.

Thought this world was going crazy for a while there; on a count my family and I watched this movie together on thanksgiving night and I was the only one who thought he was a total piece of shat! Not a small family either, total 13 of us! Love them all, but obviously mentally challenged.
