the more i watched this movie, the more i kept wishing..

..for a movie about Microsoft.

Ther'e a pretty good portrayal of Apple and Microsoft in Pirates of Silicon Valley.. some might argue an even better portrayal of Steve and Apple here, albeit less complete. It would be nice to see a movie like this, but we'll probably have to wait until Bill Gates dies, which could be 20 years or so.

reply

Yup Bill Gates will probably die in 20 like this guy said....

I concur with the Pirates of the Silicon Valley. It does a fantastic job of portraying both sides simultaneously.

through out the entire movie I just wanted to see Bill Gates, at least once.

Instead all we got was a phone call. Really? That's it? The relationship between Steve Jobs and Bill Gates went much further then that, as did the relationship between the two companies.

Even that phone call was all sorts of wrong, seeing as how Xerox had developed the first GUI, had allowed both Apple and Microsoft to look at their PARC system. No one "stole" any thing.

I agree with you, as this story is well known. Except for your concluding remark...instead I'd say, "Everyone stole everything." But honestly, innovators innovate, and take great ideas with them!
