What did Kottke want?
When Kottke was trying to talk to Steve and he kept blowing him off, what was he trying to talk to him about? And what ended up happening to him? After Steve missed their lunch meeting we never saw him again.
shareI haven't seen the movie but I'm reading the Isaacson book at the moment, and the devolution of their friendship happens as Apple is about to go public. Kottke wanted and assumed he was going to receive shares of the stock but Jobs was unwilling to give him any. Woz is empathetic and eventually gives away 2k shares or so to different employees who would have otherwise received none, including Kottke. Not sure if this is how it's dramatized but that's how it actually happened apparently.
