Just finished it....

I decided to watch this cuz I was bored and ended up really enjoying it. I don't know much about computers and their evolution, so this was interesting to see but It definitely left me with questions. I am going to try to find some other bios on Jobs cuz my curiosity is piqued. I am an Ashton fan, I was able to see past him to the person of Jobs, I alternated between calling him an a-hole and getting teary.

Also, when it comes to corporations and the way business is done, I am clueless. How were they able to kick him out of his OWN freaking company??? I need to do some research to try to fill in the gaps. I would recommend this as a starting point.

this is exactly my view the first time but after the second time i no longer look for gaps but uncovering lies, how the hell jobs didn't recognize lisa as his daughter and he call his computer project lisa!!! the makers amazingly brought very similar actors to the real people except for one makkula, instead of bringing some one as geeky and silly looking as the real makkula they bring someone hansom with honest decent look, when he clearly stabbed jobs in the back! in the end ashton act as if jobbs was some kind of mass murderer with twitch in his face while saying the most profound words ever!

They were able to kick him out of his own company...bccause it was no longer solely his anymore; he was just a manager (CEO)and a shareholder. When you incorporate (become a corporation),
you limit liability (a company co-owned by only 2 people has more direct control, but a lot of risk for those 2), but you lose more control over the company, because the company is now owned by thousands of shareholders. Shareholders vote on the board of directors, who make decisions on who stays/goes. Becoming a corporation ("going public") brings in more investors (shareholders) and thus more money, and can make a company much bigger. But the ownership of the company fundamentally changes. This is why Jobs could be ousted. According to what actually happened, Jobs was really driving the company into the ground, so he had to go. When he returned, however, he was
able to successfully re-brand the company.
