Who was the guy that got fired during the Lisa Project?

Was that Bill Gates? I don't think a name was mentioned but he was mentioned as being the best in the group. I'm just trying to tie things together with the Bill Gates phone call and how he supposedly stole Jobs idea. I mean, if this happened, they would've showed how Bill got his idea to create Microsoft Windows. It seems like they cut a lot of stuff out between the start of Apple to his firing. I had to rewind a few times to see if I missed something but nope...I didn't.

I wouldn't know who he is, but can garuntee you 100% it's not Bill Gates.
Steve Jobs often fired people for little reasons (Well big in a mind like Steve's)
Not sure about that particular incident about the fonts guy, but there was one time that Jobs really wanted someone to invent the mouse. One of the guys said it's impossible, he got fired.

Definitely could not have been Gates -- since the other guy said something about how Jobs had just fired the "best programmer".

It's as simple as this... Gates NEVER worked for Apple. Microsoft were given Mac prototypes in order to develop their software for the Mac. This film may have its issues, but what you're talking about is in the realm of iSteve.

This thread brings to my attention that a Bill Gates/Microsoft story would shed lights on the whole information age we are in.

Does anyone know why it hasnt been done yet...they did mark zukenbergs and it was a box office success...imagine bills's

My guess is his lawyers dont want him to do so...

The fact that we don't know who he was is testament to the fact that he royally screwed up. Or not. Maybe he made a lot of money going to work for Microsoft!

Erm, the guy was called Jeff. His name was mentioned various times during the scene.
