Did You Hate Ashton Kutcher's Swagger?
Sure Steve Jobs had a distinctive walk, but do you agree that Ashton Kutcher's attempt to copy it and swagger around the movie is really annoying?

No.

I literally just watched a 2 minute scene where he goes and talks to Jonathan Ive, and thought exactly that.

I've never cringed so hard, watching Kutcher walking around looking inquisitive to THAT soundtrack. Awful scene, haven't even watched the film.
I was about to make a post about the way Ashton walked in the movie, wondering if that was the way Jobs walked. It was very distinctive. The camera followed him front and back on many takes, so the way Jobs walked must have been a part of the character.
Bad directing. Spending film time in Steve JOb's walking style is just laughable.
shareStudying someone's everything including walking is something all actors should strive for when making a film about a historical person. Do you think actors should not mimic voice, hair, or personality as well?
shareI dont think Ashton Kutcher is an actor.
shareStudying someone's everything including walking is something all actors should strive for when making a film about a historical person.Studying and Researching a character is a necessity and most acclaimed actors undertake their due diligence but in the final product the portrayal should be believable and transparent. The audience wants to immerse themselves into the movie via the character especially if it's the main character or starring role.
Describing it as a swagger is incredibly kind. Swagger implies confidence and this...did not. It looked very unnatural.
I wouldn't say I hated it though. On the contrary, it was hilarious. It reminded me of Groucho Marx's deliberately-funny style of walking in the Marx Brothers movies.
Like a bird on the wire, like a drunk in a midnight choir, I have tried in my way to be free

In England it would be said that he 'lolloped'. I can't say I knew Steve Jobs well enough to know if he walked like that but it certainly seemed too exaggerated, almost comical.
shareIt looked way too exaggerated.
Its that man again!!
I don't know if Jobs walked like that in real life, but I do know people that walk that life and it looks incredibly ridiculous.
