When She talked about disappearing, Jodie Foster said something like that it's ok if she disappears as long as she eventually comes back .
To me her walking to the ice was a way to show her disappear and then at the end at the cabin she was back. We don't if she's living there or just visiting. OR she's dead and it's just Foster just imaging her.
But To me her being alive makes a little more sense, but that's just me.
