Monsieur Spade is way better

I started that not thinking much of it since they put the first episode out there for free. I've been watching it and it is pretty good. Qualifying that, it is interesing in characters and so far the "mystery" has been hidden from us, so the kid comes out now and it remains to be seen if the actual story is as good as the setting, the antique cars, and the characters. I'm skeptical, but Owen has been OK at Sam Spade. It's fairly obvious he did not do any digging or watching of Bogart to take notes on how he should play the character, and the insult wise-cracks things that he says would probably get him beat up in any macho culture, but character is interesting.

I would not mind being rich enough to own a French Chateau though, with a nice swimming pool.
