why did they want a baby anyway?


just really got me, they went on and on how they wanted a baby so badly and then as soon as they get the baby and go through all the rubbish of the wacko surroagate they get a nanny to look after it??? makes no sense!!

and the reason she gave for wanting a baby is because everything else she did was a success - or something along those lines anyway. lol. amusing film - nethertheless...

So people should only have babies when they don't have jobs?

The surrogate asks them at the beginning why they wanted a baby and at first they didn't know how to answer them. That's because it's not something you can easily put into words. It's a basic human need.

that wasn't what I said. What I meant was I thought it was a little odd they were back to work soon as the baby arrived and so many hours. Surely one of them would want to be home to be with the baby for a while...

Well, I don't know about maternity leave laws. Maybe they're only valid for a pregnancy? That might make sense, since the maternity leave start DURING the pregnancy.

I like the green. And surely they could take time off...they could certainly afford it.

Maternity leave is for the postpartum period of time AFTER delivery. Mothers need to recover from giving birth. Women who take leave during the pregnancy are usually on disability, and must have a valid health condition to warrant time off while pregnant.
