This movie featured Ben Mendelsohn and Ryan Gosling, instead of Reynolds. They had great chemistry in Place Beyond The Pines. It would reteam Gosling with Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden also (Half Nelson).

I gotta agree. Gosling is a much superior actor and it'd be sweet to see him reteaming with the director of Half Nelson and Ben.

Still looking forward to this film though

Gosling isn't meant for every role, fine actor though he may be. Fleck and Boden chose Reynolds. I respect their work so I respect their casting choices. Reynolds has proven himself as a versatile actor who can do drama as well as comedy. His dramatic turns in Buried, The Nines, and Smokin' Aces are up there with the best, and I'll take almost any of his comedic performances over Gosling's work in Crazy Stupid Love and Gangster Squad.

If Mendelsohn is in it, I will probably check it out, regardless of who he is teaming with.

I have no idea what it is that he has, but whatever it is, he sure can steal a scene.

Mendelsohn is the hands and feet of this team, as he usually is in everything I've seen him in. Have you seen Bloodlines?! Animal Factory!!!

I rate him with two other great ones who often appear in these dangerous roles: Gary Oldman and Tim Roth. That's good company.

No bec I don't think he fit da role. RR killed it and fit da role. Dis wuz a very entertainin film and bring me back memory lane. At da time I don't recall wat but it reminded me of Rain Man. Cruz killed it in dat as well but Hoffman got da Oscar.
