I came here to say the same thing...
can't say anything for sure before trailer but loved the Altman classic.

The covers and the synopsis looks and sounds exactly the same which is weird because the original have not been credited in Mississippi Grind.

"Principal photography began on January 19, 2014 in Mobile, Alabama and went on through March 2014". Maybe because it was "in talks" 2012? I guess I answered my own question.
