It's a good film, but...


would it have killed them to cast some minorities? Even just bit players like the random friends or dinner guests?
New York is rich with diversity and I think I only saw a little Asian girl in the dance troupe through the entire film.

How many of us are seated at similar family or small friendly gatherings w/ members of other races, in our own time? Some, to be sure. The vast majority, nope.

I think the whole white cast may have to do with the theme of the film actually. Frances was surrounded by somewhat privileged and middle upper class white people that it may be the reason why she was such a trouble situation. If there were some minorities in the film or marginalized individuals then maybe it would actually benefited her situation more or even found someone who was more relatable.
