Ruined by Cage-isms
Let me start by saying, I’ve always been a fan of Cage. Grew up watching the guy, and he’s had some legendary roles. But now? It feels like every film is just him leaning into the 'Look how bizarre and quirky I can be!' routine. Throw him some cash, and he’ll give you The Nicolas Cage Show. In this case, he even produced the movie, so of course, we get the full Cage demo reel.
The movie had a strong start—loved the lead, the atmosphere, and the whole concept. But once Longlegs started taking more of the spotlight, it all went downhill. And ending the film with a Cage-ism? Big mistake. It completely undercuts the serious tone, turning what could’ve been a great thriller into a bit of a joke
