I wonder (spoilers)
If Agent Harker's special ability is from her body adapting to the supernatural blindness that the doll gives her. Similar to how other senses grow stronger when one sense gets taken away.
It would be an interesting twist if her body is trying to over-compensate for her not being able to see what is directly in front of her.
