This movie broke a rule (spoilers)

You never kill the retard! The tone of this movie and with the way things were going, I wasn't surprised, but it was like watching a more *beep* up version of Forrest Gump get shot in the neck. Makes you wonder if Guy Pearce's character is the only reason Rey thought that he should kill his brother. Would Rey have even felt salty about it without Eric's brainwashing? Thought Robert P did a really good job though. Never would hav seen him in a role like this before viewing.

Definitely, Eric used Rey and was manipulating him. I don't think his goal was to kill anyone or get someone killed. He just wanted his car back. I think Rey's encounter with Eric did change him and lead to the what was the ultimate outcome.

Four words for you: Of Mice and Men.

Also, Eric isn't 'brainwashing' him, he was just trying to give him advice he believed in. Rey was like a dog - obedient, loyal to his master. It surprised Eric to discover this when Rey rescues him. He wasn't being manipulated, he was acting in accordance with his simple nature, like a pet dog would.

Of mice in men is a good reference i agree. But it's not like Rey went and broke a bitch's neck and had mofo's tryin to kill his a$$ to then be "respectfully" laid down by his friend.

Never kill the retard? I guess you never saw "The Wild Bunch" where the gang leaves Bo Hopkins behind after a robbery at the beginning and tells him to hold off everyone until they come back for him.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else
