If you enjoyed this movie, + you don't mind subtitles, then you must see

Reconstruction.

7.5/10

But again, this poster must stress to you that it is unquestionably a movie for those who enjoy thinking: so there are no car chases, explosions, ostensible 'good guys' who track down so called 'baddies', nor is there any of the usual 'Hollywood schmaltz'. Indeed, to stand *any* chance of liking Reconstruction, you will require a splendidly working brain which happens to enjoy analytical rumination.

;->

Reconstruction is simply (or complicatedly - depending on how you wish to interpret it) a smart movie for smart people. Without giving anything away, its core theme is in the loosest sense, not too dissimilar to that at the core of Third Person. Of course, most won't get it, just as they don't get Third Person. But... if you enjoyed having your intellect tickled by this movie, and you don't mind subtitles then you absolutely MUST see Reconstruction.

Lastly, another recent movie which raises more psychological questions as to identity than it arguably answers, is the more sinistrally themed existential movie from 2013, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, known as "Enemy".

HTH. Enjoy!
