I feel so bad for Schwartz

Is Schwartz perfect? No. He has cheated and thrown drinks at his girlfriend, as well as his female friend Stassi. That being said, I think Schwartz is an all around good guy. He's polite, he's a good friend, by far the best looking guy on the show, and does a very good job at playing the role of peace keeper in a show full of people who live for drama.

It is so, SO obvious that he proposed and got married not because he wanted to. Schwartz either just wasn't ready for either of these things or knew he never wanted to do them, or just didn't want to ever do it with Katie. The downside of being calm and non confrontational is it makes people walk all over you.

I think Schwartz truly does love Katie, but feels they probably won't work long term. Because he loves her and hates confrontation, he just played along to satisfy her and his producers.
Same thing with Jax. Clearly they have a lot of fun together and love each other in a brotherly way, but Jax has done and said so much about Schwartz and was forgiven s easily because Schwartz is scared of arguing. Jax has done worse things to Sandoval that in my opinion are unforgivable, but at least Tom really let Jax have it for a while before resuming their friendship.

I sure hope that Schwartz gets stronger over time and that if he finds himself miserable in his marriage, he has the courage to leave. More importantly, if Katie wants to start trying for a baby before Schwartz is ready, I really hope he doesn't give in and become a dad before he's ready.

I agree. They have a lot of issues they need to work on BEFORE they get married. What happened to the therapist they saw a few times?

I feel bad for him too. I think he can do so much better than Katie...

he did mention somewhere that he thought marriage was unnecessary but did it "because he likes seeing katie happy"

clearly he knows it's not going to work out, but he is submitting to his natural storyline on the show, and he got himself that pre-nup, so clearly he has an easy out.

i feel the same way about my brother who got married in his mid twenties, my whole family acted like he was so ready, but i was like uh guys theres no way he would be married right now if he wasn't dating someone psychotically obsessed with getting married.

much like tom/kristen, sometimes you just stay with people because nothing better has ever presented itself, like clearly tom would have just stuck with kristen for more years if ariana didn't appear. schwartz probably has never had another girl captivate him during his katie relationship, therefore he is seemingly "all in"

over 50% of marriages end in divorce and 100% of those started off with good intentions. not trying to be pessimistic or mean but they just don't seem cohesive as a couple, it will not last.

Also, you know Bravo is paying part of the bill. They always do for a wedding for ratings.

Katie knows how Tom is and WHO he is as a person. It's annoying. Like in the last episode, so what if he wants to hang out with his buddies before he gets married. Taking gifts out of the car doesn't sound fun to me either. Katie had a day party and he had a later in the day buddy hang out. Katie is on my last nerve.
